Gabrielle Guttman offers 20+ years of experience in financial services, business development and marketing roles on the buy-side and sell-side of the financial services industry. Her entrepreneurial spirit and established track record of developing diverse business opportunities, landing top-tier clients and connecting high-powered people created this unique opportunity for her to offer her dedicated expertise to clients with more innovation, passion and a unique vision.

Previous Experience

Prior to Connext Consulting® , Ms. Guttman was Vice President of Business Development & Marketing at Southridge LLC, a diversified financial holding company. There, she spearheaded the firm’s branding initiatives, marketed hedge funds and executed the firm’s investor and public relations campaigns.

Prior to joining Southridge, Gabrielle was Director of Business Development at Kroll Inc. where she was in charge of establishing and maintaining strategic relationships within the financial services community, specifically for hedge funds, investment banks and private equity funds.

Earlier, Gabrielle was VP of Business Development for VCG, a subsidiary of Grey Group, where she managed all aspects of US business development, strategic planning and sales for the firm’s investor communications business. She was the liaison between the company executives, investment bankers, and the VCG team while facilitating high-profile financial transactions ranging from $50 million to $1 billion.

Gabrielle began her career in the financial services industry in 1996 as a Corporate Finance Analyst in the investment banking division of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. where she helped execute equity, debt and M&A transactions across a wide range of industries, and also demonstrated her entrepreneurism, landing a client for the firm.

Philanthropy

Throughout her career, Gabrielle has been an active volunteer and currently holds leadership positions with not-for-profit and philanthropic organizations focused on the financial services industry, diversity initiatives and children's development. Since 2009 she has been a member of the Management Committee of the New York Alternative Investment Roundtable and shortly thereafter was appointed Chairperson of the Industry Liaisons Committee.  She currently serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of the Roundtable. She is a Co-Founder of HedgeNY, a Corporate Sponsor of Portfolios with Purpose and an Alliance Partner of the Connecticut Hedge Fund Association. She also is on the Advisory Board of A Leg To Stand On (ALTSO) and a member of the Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest Committee.

Education

Gabrielle graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University.
